Choosing to save emails in Message Format is the most effective option for ensuring that attachments remain intact. When an email is saved in this format, the full content of the email is preserved, including the original formatting, headers, and any attachments. This means that not only is the body of the email retained, but the associated files or documents attached to it are also included in a way that allows them to be accessed and opened later without any loss of data or integrity.

In contrast, saving emails in PDF format or as plain text files can result in the loss of embedded attachments. PDF files typically capture the visual layout of the email but may not include interactive elements or actual file attachments. Plain text files strip email content down to the raw text, which excludes attachments entirely. While saving in an encrypted format can enhance security, it does not inherently ensure that all elements of the email, including attachments, are preserved in their original format. Thus, selecting Message Format strikes a balance between maintaining the complete content of the email and preserving attachments for future access.
